Please see below a letter regarding vacant positions on the committee and other positions that we need to fill as soon as possible. We are a voluntary organisation and require help from all parents in order for the Ellenbrook Club to continue into the future.
We will be holding a parent meeting tonight at 5.30 to discuss this further. Please remember athletes will be refused training if a parent or guardian is not present at training.
We are currently seeking the following to fill the Following Positions to help in the management of the club
1. Treasurer, this position is a pivotal role with in the running of any community based club and the duties that are required on a brief outline
a. Responsible for the receipt of all monies received by or paid to the club, and issue receipts on behalf of the club
b. Responsible for the making payments on behalf of the club and ensure all cheques are signed
c. Recording of all incoming and outgoing payments
2. General Committee Members – responsible for a variety of roles with in the running of the club
a. Sponsorship officer – this is a pivotal part of the club in maintaining us to keep fees as low as possible and assisting in new uniforms for training
b. Office Manager – main role of this position is for the setup of the sign in registers before and after training.(to which we already have the templates and files) ensuring all children are signed in by their parents for the younger ones.
c. Fund raising officer – another pivotal role with in the running of the club in relation to sausage sizzles either at the club or off-site locations, especially for arranging the assistance of fellow parents of the club (Strongly Supported by ELAC Executive and the Committee)
d. Equipment officer – ensure all equipment is up to standard and in good working order, working closely with all coaches and especially the Head Coach, and tabling to the committee any recommendations for the replacement of equipment or purchase of new equipment for training purposes.
e. General Committee – assistance in a variety of roles with in the club from general items such as set of training equipment to fundraising events
Non- Committee roles but very much required roles
3. Assistant coaches for all age groups working closely with our senior coaches in the running of pre-prepared training programmes alongside the age group manager
4. Age Group Managers – pivotal in the running of the age group training sessions working closely with the coaches and assisting where possible even getting fellow age group parents to assist, this is extremely important in regards to the younger age groups in maintaining some sense of order, we already have programme’s printed of at the club.
Your kids get a kick out of you being out there and helping.
We trust you will give this some consideration, as without your continued support as before we all struggle to provide a happy and enjoyable time for all concerned and without volunteers we all will struggle to survive. I look forward to meeting you all again along with the current committee to making this a very enjoyable time for your children in achieving the best they can be at their chosen sport and of course yourselves. The more we collectively put in the more we all will get out of it.
